Do You Know How Long It Takes To Form A Habit?

Do you know how long it takes to form a habit?

Three weeks. Just three weeks.

It’s been proven that if you can work out for at least three weeks, for example, that your mind begins to accept it as part of a new daily routine.

And yet, most people give up before ever making it that far.

Why does it seem that the things that are good for us, we lose motivation for? Why can’t we do them for even three weeks?

The question all boils down to: how badly do you want it? What are you willing to sacrifice? Are you willing to move out of your comfort zone for personal growth? Do you realize the consequences if you don’t?

You better—because they’re very real.

The truth is that you’ll never go anywhere in life if you can’t learn to control your own mind. You need to be able to make your own decisions and stick to them, no matter what.

Let’s be honest: how can you ever expect to become anything when you can’t even do what you know to be right?

Start learning how to train your mind to find the motivation to do things that are good for you. Even if you don’t feel like it, work to make sure that you form habits that will prove beneficial in the long term.

Your biggest enemy isn’t your hated rival. It isn’t the person shaming you behind your back or to your face.

Your biggest enemy is you. If you don’t like where you are, learn the self-discipline it takes to get where you want to be.

How can you do that?

Start by treating yourself like someone you care about. Too often we put our needs and wants on the backburner.

What would you tell others to do if they were in your situation? Start by taking your own advice and doing that you know to be right. This will help put you on a better emotional and physical balance, and you will begin to reap the rewards of your new-found purpose and perseverance.
